Ethan Howard documents material-based experimentation and first-person research to explore themes of repair,
circularity, and speculative proposals for a collectively improved future through the lens of furniture and low-tech
material exploration. Grounded in both conceptual and literal acts of repair, Ethan delves into the process of
unmaking and remaking, often celebrating the scars that become evident when an object lives a long life.
His work highlights mercurial perceptions of value, is a protest against the landfill and our global capitalist
commerce system, and is driven by the belief that small (inter)actions cause large ripples.
